Explanation of Oxidized Bitumen 90/15

A particularly manufactured plastic for use in construction, oxidized bitumen 90/15 is distinguished by having a large thermal amplitude, flexibility in the cold, no sagging at high temperatures, and good adhesion. It comes in a variety of grades and is guaranteed by Petro Bitumen Company, who has arranged for an overseas examiner to examine the bitumen 90/15’s quality and quantity when it is being loaded into the vessel and to control production by QC with batch test reports before shipping. Compared to primary pure bitumen, this product has a higher softening point and lower penetration.

Uses and Applications of Oxidized Bitumen 90/15

Oxidised bitumen 90/15 is utilised in the chemical, fuel, paints, lacquers, varnishes, paper-pulp-board, textile manufacturing, road construction, pavement, crack sealing, building work, roofing, construction sectors, connecting and insulating buildings, adhesive, building materials additive, dust-binding, insulating, and impregnating agent, as well as the manufacture of rubber and plastic products. Additionally, it is utilised in the production of paint, caulking, mastics, and waterproofing products as well as in the lining of public buildings, the construction of electrical laminates, the base for manufactured turf, and the application of water-proofing and corrosion resistance to pipe coatings. The substrate must be dry, clean, and devoid of scattered particles, molds, curing products, imperfections, slurry, etc. to utilize oxidized bitumen 90/15. For it to possess flow and viscosity, it must be heated twice as hot as the softening point.

Oxidised bitumen 90/15 Storage, Handling and Packaging

Packaging of Oxidized Bitumen 90/15 is valid for 10 years when heated and cooled repeatedly. It comes in a variety of packaging options, including Kraft bags, meltable plastic bags, drums, and bulk. The softening point and perforation ranges are denoted by two figures, with the softening threshold being 90°c and the depth of penetration being 15 desi millimetres, respectively. It is made by ASTM standards and satisfies the following requirements.
