Bitumen 40/50

Description of bitumen 40/50:

As a standard Penetration Grade of Bitumen under ASTM D946M, Penetration Bitumen 40/50 is employed as Paving Grade Bitumen. It is made from Hoover residue that has been heated and blasted by air in the petroleum bitumen-blowing unit, producing a consistent, homogeneous end product. The thermoplastic feature of penetration-grade bitumen makes it soften at high temperatures and firm at lower temperatures. When defining performance factors like adhesion, rheology, durability, and application temperatures, this particular temperature-viscosity relationship is crucial.

Bitumen 40/50’s characteristics

Pure gasoline-grade bitumen, produced from an enclosed bottom by the passage of hot air, is penetration-grade bitumen 40/50 offered by Petro Bitumen. Petro Bitumen produces the bitumen it sells using the leftovers from the cracking and hydrocarbon removal of petroleum-based products. Bitumen with a penetration grade of 40/50 has a softening point of 52–60°C and a penetration range of 40–50 desi-millimetres. The thermoplastic quality of penetration grade bitumen 40/50 makes it similar to a resin made from synthetic materials that soften when heated and harden when cooled. Compared to other grades, this bitumen 40/50 grade has a relatively strong viscosity.

Bitumen 40/50 uses:

Bitumen 40/50 is used for pavements made of asphalt with outstanding qualities and for building roads in tropical areas. It is supplied during vacuum bottom oxidation presses and is employed in warm temperatures due to its strong air fanning and penetrating capabilities. Temperatures that are too high do not cause it to soften and it maintains its properties.

40/50 Percent Bitumen Penetration Reliability and Protection:

The international inspector is responsible for checking the quality of bitumen permeation grade 40/50 and monitoring the manufacturing process by QC by batch inspection report before shipping. The Petro Bitumen Company promises to meet ASTM standards and international standards like AASHTO M20-70 and D946, and comply with the requirements of the specification.

Bitumen 40/50 Packaging:

Bitumen 40/50 is often packaged in new steel drums, 150, 180, and 220 kg barrels, 500 kg jumbo bags, 300 kg bumbags, 1 MT of steel drums, and these barrel sizes.
